I saw "the dunk" yesterday in the sanctuary:) Way to go!

Anderson's comment is funny! You never know what they are thinking in those little heads.

Too bad about the dolphins, right? So excited for you Heather - I was hooting and hollering for you over in Kinetic! :)

I missed it on the big screen, but thanks to this blog I relived it with you!

Congratulations on your baptism. I'm sorry you weren't able to find any dolphins. That would have been fun! :)

So, I was secretly hoping that you would post pictures. I wish we could have been there, but I was definitely thinking about you on Sunday morning. Baptism was an interesting topic in our house for years. I, too, was sprinkled as a child and was re-baptized via immersion before we joined ASBC. Congratulations!!

I was looking for photos of baptisms for a music video collage, and I came across this and was instantly moved. The look on your face after you are immersed is so precious. It is the look of someone who was ready to be baptized. Putting on a gown, in our case more like a waterproof nylon jumper, and being dunked is uncomfortable for people who aren't ready for the humility and submission God requires of us at baptism. But when you understand baptism that is a beautiful thing. Baptism is meant to allow us to experience a childlike humility and obedience that comforts the soul. And that is a face of a comforted soul.
