Blast at the Beach

At this point, everyone else has blogged about our Small Group Beach Day - we had an absolute blast spending time with many dear friends at the beach. The Ratz were so kind to bring their boat to take everyone for a spin. The ladies took a "mommy boat ride" which ended up being a Dolphin showdown - we probably saw 40 dolphins or so - really neat - Anderson said I should have ridden one of the dolphins like Diego - maybe next time buddy! We had such a great time and can't look forward to next year! What a blessing to have so many wonderful friends to create such awesome memories together!

Busch Gardens that is! We had such a great time last week at BG that we decided to join the Maggiores again for more fun on Sunday. The weather was HOT - I can't imagine going if it were much hotter, but the hot weather encouraged Anderson to ride the Log Flume - a pretty big ride for such a little man!! He had a blast and begged Mark to go on it a 2nd time!

Beach Time!!

One of our favorite recent 'traditions' is mornings at the beach with friends. Over the last few years, we often frequent the beach on Saturday mornings with the Maggiores and Saunders families - the kids have a blast together and it's one of my favorite things about the summer. We went to the beach Memorial Day and kicked off the summer!

A Day at the Zoo

We ventured to the Norfolk Zoo yesterday with our friends Mike & Niko. Unfortunately Roseann wasn't feeling that great, so she & Tony weren't able to make it. It was a PERFECT day for the zoo - not too hot, but just hot enough! Niko & Anderson had a great time catching up and checking out the animals.

a rivaling tradition

For the last 3 years or so, we watch the big UGA - Ga Tech football game with the Maggiores. You see, Mark & I both went to UGA (and are breeding 2 young bulldawgs - Anderson & Carter) while Joe went to Ga Tech. The 1st year the Maggiores had to ponder our invite for a moment.... could both Mark & Joe behave themselves when the tough got going for their team? Well, obviously cooler minds prevailed as we've watched the game with them ever since. This year we went to Joe's parent's home to watch the game on the big plasma screen. Baba (Barbara to everyone else) entertained Erin & Anderson with the lifesized dollhouse outside, motorized vehicles, blocks, balls, etc. They had a blast together. Both Joe & Mark behaved themselves as their teams competed. We introduced two new fans this year - Carter & Anna. Us Judds refrained from wearing our 'red and black' in respect for the hosting Tech fans.

Oh did I forget to mention the Dawgs were victorious???

Pumpkin Patch

It just wouldn't be the fall without a trip to the Pumpkin Patch - only thing is it didn't feel like fall, but more like late summer - oh well! We met the usual crew the Saunders & Maggiores at Taylor Farm. This was one of Anna's first outings - hard to believe that this little girl just had open heart surgery!!
